The Riptides at Metcalfe Park

The Riptides band is made up of four journeyman musicians who formed a Classic Rock band of mostly Sixties and Seventies favorites, with a little Country thrown in.  All of the members “cut their musical teeth” on the music of the Classic Rock era and have had decades of band experience before joining together in 2016.  With the exception of drummer Ramon Torres of Kingman, all members are from Lake Havasu City.
In the photo from left to right are Tom Aamot (rhythm and lead guitar, vocals, harmonica), Dave Van Cleave (rhythm, lead and slide guitar, vocals), Ramon Torres (drums, vocals) and Steve Bentley (bass guitar, vocals).
With each member bringing a rich history of music performance, it didn’t take long to work up a hot list of Classic Rock and Country favorites.  Double guitar leads are not uncommon in any given Riptides song, as well as multiple vocal harmonies (a standard part of sixties and seventies era tunes).
To hear a sample of the band kickin it old school in a live performance, follow this link to Riptides Havasu on YouTube.
We’ll see you at the next gig!
